God’s Gift of Life

Welcome New Members

On December 4, 2022, St. Mark welcomed new members to our congregation! They were introduced to the congregation at both our 8:00 am and 10:15 services by Pastor Ken Welsh who teaches our “Life With God Class” a study for those wishing to investigate the teaching of the Lutheran Church and possibly wishing to become members. Thank You Lutheran East High

St. Mark along with Trinity Lutheran in Ohio City hosts a monthly meal for those in need on the third Saturday of every month. Last Saturday, August 20, we were joined by students and faculty from Lutheran East High School, In addition to the delicious pulled pork sandwiches made by the St. Mark Women’s League, the GOOD NEWS OF JESUS CHRIST WAS PROCLAIMED , both in word and by tracts given out by Trinity members.

June Men’s Breakfast

On June 11, the men of St. Mark met at Guido’s Pizza Haven in downtown Chesterland for Breakfast. Missionary Visit

On Sunday, June 5th, we welcomed to our Education Hour Gary and Sue Kessler, who are serving the Lord through The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod (LCMS) in Belize. In this role, Gary manages the LCMS’ construction projects in the country and coordinates the short-term teams that come to serve there. Meanwhile, Sue oversees religious education at Little Lambs Preschool in the Valley of Peace community and teaches English classes. Morgan Paula Atwara is the daughter of Fran and Mike Atwara. She was born in Willoughby, OH on March 7, 2008, and baptized at St. Mark Lutheran on June 28, 2008.
