Here is what you can expect:
The families gather around 6pm and we eat dinner together in the Fellowship Hall. This lasts about 20 minutes until the kids have “had enough” and want to play! We then move into the nursery where the kids can play with the toys while we try our best to watch a 10 minute video and hold a 20 minute discussion. This is about the most we can accomplish before the children are done and ready to leave. You can imagine that these gatherings are very informal, filled with constant interruptions (including occasional crying), etc. That’s all expected and we just do the best we can. The value of this evening is that you are invited to just come, eat, and talk. You don’t have to bring anything and you have a nice dinner waiting for you and your children.
