April Community Lunch
On a sunny but cool April 26, St. Mark opened its doors to the community and served a delicious lunch of an unstuffed cabbage casserole, apple sauce, rolls and homemade desserts. The lunch is served on the last Wednesday of the month at no charge to those attending. It is a great time to catch up with neighbors and friends, especially now after a long winter. January COMMUNITY Lunch
St. Mark Women’s League host a free lunch on the last Wednesday of every month in the St. Mark Fellowship Hall. On a cold and wintry January 26 late morning and early afternoon, a number of hearty souls ventured out to St. Mark for a delicious lunch of ham sliders, cheesy pasta, fruit cups and assorted desserts. St. Mark members reached out to the communities we serve through our Christmas Boutique! Local merchants along with our St. Mark women’s league members displayed and sold one-of-a-kind Christmas gifts. Wendy Zimmerman, Praise team leader at St. Mark, provided live Christmas music. Scrumptious food was served, especially at the Friday night preview party. IT IS THE HOPE OF OUR MEMBERS AT ST. November was Busy at St. Mark
November was busy at St. Mark. Our Women’s League “Gift of the Magi” Boutique turned our hallways into a wonderland of Christmas gifts many handmade by church members and local merchants. 2020 Annual Women’s Luncheon
On January 18, 2020, the women of St. Mark braved the icy, snowy, rainy weather to attend the annual women’s luncheon. This year’s venue was St. Denis golf course in Chardon Ohio. An interesting program about “Oils of Ancient Scripture” by St. Mark member Marti Jacobson and her associate Stacey Kelly, representing Young Living Consultants, an essential oils distributor, was enjoyed by all.

The Ladies at St. Mark transformed the hallways, library and fellowship hall into a magical Christmas boutique. On Friday and Saturday on the second weekend in November 2019. Christmas shoppers from Northeast Ohio, gathered at St. Mark to purchase beautiful, unique handcrafted items, from Christmas trees made from old hand saws to warm knitted hats and scarfs. St. Mark Women’s Retreat 2019
On Saturday, March 16, 2019, the St. Mark Women’s League held their annual retreat. The event was open to all women, not just St. Mark members. The Reverend Mark Matzke, Pastor at St. Mark gave the opening presentation, highlighting the theme, “Let God Be Your GPS.” A number of speakers presented during the day followed by discussion sessions. Lunch was served. It was a delightful day for all that attended.
LWML Prayer Service at St. Mark
The Northeast Zone of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League(LWML) held a prayer service on February 9th at St. Mark. The prayer service was written by Rev. Allen D. Anderson, past president of the Rocky Mountain District of The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. Pastor Kevin Guynn, Northeast Zone Counselor, gave the message.
