Thank You Lutheran East High

St. Mark along with Trinity Lutheran in Ohio City hosts a monthly meal for those in need on the third Saturday of every month. Last Saturday, August 20, we were joined by students and faculty from Lutheran East High School, In addition to the delicious pulled pork sandwiches made by the St. Mark Women’s League, the GOOD NEWS OF JESUS CHRIST WAS PROCLAIMED , both in word and by tracts given out by Trinity members.

Missionary Visit

On Sunday, June 5th, we welcomed to our Education Hour Gary and Sue Kessler, who are serving the Lord through The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod (LCMS) in Belize. In this role, Gary manages the LCMS’ construction projects in the country and coordinates the short-term teams that come to serve there. Meanwhile, Sue oversees religious education at Little Lambs Preschool in the Valley of Peace community and teaches English classes. ST. MARK Kids Fill Easter Baskets

Elementary and Middle School Kids (and all their friends)!!!!! were the Easter Bunny’s helper on Saturday, March 12 at 10am in the Fellowship Hall. They prepared the Easter baskets that will be made available to the congregation to fill. Fun, games, a brief message, and lunch were provided. These Easter Baskets once filled by members of the congregation will be delivered to Geauga County Family Services and distributed to needy families in the area

Another Year of Serving

We are so grateful at St. Mark to serve alongside our brothers and sisters in Christ at Trinity Lutheran, Ohio City. For over ten years, this partnership has been used by God to spread the GOOD NEWS of Jesus Christ to thousands of people who have attended our monthly dinners. Fried Chicken at Trinity

On Saturday, July 24, 2021, St. Mark hosted a meal and message along with members of Trinity Lutheran Church on the culdesac in front of Trinity Lutheran Church in Ohio City. Trinity Lutheran Ohio City Clothing Ministry

Just a quick update on the St. Mark partnership with Trinity Lutheran’s Clothing Ministry. All throughout the pandemic, the members of Trinity Lutheran have served those in need in the Ohio City neighborhood. St. Mark members donate clothing to help this ministry. Sharing the Good News in Ohio City

Every month members of St. Mark board the church bus “Prayer Force One” and drive to Trinity Lutheran Church in Ohio City to serve a meal and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. A St.Mark – Trinity Lutheran Christmas

On December 21, 2019, members of St. Mark joined in a caravan of cars led by the St. Mark church bus “Prayer Force One” to Trinity Lutheran in Ohio City to hold a joint Chrismas Party for the homeless and needy. Gift of the Magi Boutique 2019

The Ladies at St. Mark transformed the hallways, library and fellowship hall into a magical Christmas boutique. On Friday and Saturday on the second weekend in November 2019. Christmas shoppers from Northeast Ohio, gathered at St. Mark to purchase beautiful, unique handcrafted items, from Christmas trees made from old hand saws to warm knitted hats and scarfs. St. Mark September Rewind

September was a busy month at St. Mark. After Labor Day we resumed our 3 services, Sunday 8:15 AM, 9:45 AM, and 11:00 AM.  Vicar Chris Ryan had his official installation at St. Mark on September 8th. Once a year the members of St. Mark transform the hallways and fellowship hall into a magical Christmas boutique, featuring handmade items that make special Christmas gifts. The St. Mark vision statement is “Making Caring Connections in the Community.” By opening the doors of St. Mark to vendors and members of the surrounding communities, we hope that when they have spiritual needs, they will think of St. Mark to help them with those needs as well.
