Thank You Ladies
The ladies at Saint Mark are tireless workers. Their dedication to the Good News of Jesus Christ is often shown forth in meals prepared for funeral dinners for our member’s, (who are now feasting with Jesus,) families, and freinds. They reach out to the community on the last Wednesday of each month with a free community lunch to members of the Chesterland and the surrounding areas. GOOD NEWS AT ST. MARK
I HAVE GOOD NEWS FOR YOU: On Sunday, September 28th, Pastor Mark will begin a seven-week class entitled “Good News.” This course is designed to introduce participants to both the teaching and practice of the Lutheran Church— Missouri Synod (LCMS). Dec. Men’s Breakfast
22 men met together for breakfast on Dec 14, 2024 at the Coffee Post in downtown Chesterland, OH. This month’s speaker at the monthly breakfast, sponsored by St. Mark Lutheran Church in Chesterland OH, was member George Fretz who had just returned from a mission trip to Thailand. Feb. Men’s Breakfast
On February 10, 2024, men from St. Mark gathered at the Coffee Post on Route 306 in Chesterland to discuss the upcoming Super Bowl. Rev. Gerald Matzke led a discussion and asked questions as to what it takes to be a Super Bowl Champion. Weightlifting, studying the playbook, and mental preparation were some of the answers given. Ladies Luncheon
On Saturday, January 27 the annual St. Mark Ladies Luncheon was held in Fellowship Hall on the St. Mark Campus. For the first time in memory, the men of St. Mark served the ladies with a brunch highlighted by Chicken Cordon Bleu, Caesar Salad, French toast, eggs, potatoes, and other scrumptious offerings. August Men’s Breakfast
The St. Mark monthly men’s breakfast met at Coffee Works in downtown Chesterland on Au. 12, 2023. The accommodations were tight due to the large attendance, but we managed to sit elbow to elbow and enjoyed fellowship and a presentation by St. Mark member David Greishammer. Debt reduction Breakfast
The last of our Debt Reduction Breakfasts was held on Sunday, April 23, 2023, after each service. This month’s breakfast is presented by the men of the church. These breakfasts are always a special treat. The food is great, the fellowship is wonderful, and all monies collected go to pay down our mortgage.
