Holiday bell Concert

Holiday Bells: Our bell choir will perform their annual mini Christmas concert December 7th following the announcements, about 11:45. The concert can be attended in-person or online via live-stream. 

WEDNESDAY ADVENT SERVICES

We can help you get into the Christmas spirit!   Attending Advent services will help build anticipation and excitement in your heart for the celebration of the birth of the Christ child.  We will be holding services in both the afternoon and evening on the following Wednesdays – 12/3, 12/10, and 12/17 at 11:30 am (traditional) and 7pm (contemporary).

“NEW LIFE”- GRIEVING WIDOWS

We are pleased to invite women of all ages in the community who are grieving the loss of their husband to a meet-and-greet introductory meeting for “New Life” on Thursday, Nov 20 at 11am. Our new group will offer a comforting and loving gathering place for women to share their journey through conversation, prayer and fellowship. Coffee and dessert will be served. FOOD DRIVE

Help Members of St. Mark help those who are being affected by the temporary hold on SNAP accounts by holding a food drive. Please bring items starting this Sunday, 11/9. There are boxes behind the welcome table in the lobby for the food items. Any and all items are appreciated; however, feel free to use the attached list for other suggested ideas.

Serving the Homeless

For approximately 17 years, St. Mark members have been serving a meal to those in need at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ohio City. Ohio City has gone through substantial changes in demographics during our time serving there. Over the years of our service, the people we serve have gone from local residents to people with no home. They live on the streets, many carry all their possessions with them in pull carts or shopping bags. What they do have in…

Thank You Ladies

The ladies at Saint Mark are tireless workers. Their dedication to the Good News of Jesus Christ is often shown forth in meals prepared for funeral dinners for our member’s, (who are now feasting with Jesus,) families, and freinds. They reach out to the community on the last Wednesday of each month with a free community lunch to members of the Chesterland and the surrounding areas. GOOD NEWS AT ST. MARK

I HAVE GOOD NEWS FOR YOU: On Sunday, September 28th, Pastor Mark will begin a seven-week class entitled “Good News.” This course is designed to introduce participants to both the teaching and practice of the Lutheran Church— Missouri Synod (LCMS). It also functions well as a refresher course for longtime churchgoers. Invite anyone interested in learning more about the Good News of Jesus Christ to attend with you.
