Confirmation 2021

St. Mark is happy to announce that Nathan Ryan was confirmed at St. Mark on May 2, 2021. Nathan spoke at both services about his faith and received the sacrament of Holy Communion surrounded by family friends and his fellow members at St. Mark.

Happy Birthday, Jesus!

Sunday, Dec. 15 at St. Mark featured a birthday party at the St. Mark Sunday school, including Christmas Carols, fun and games a beautifully decorated cake and reading out loud of the story of the birth of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ from the bible, students took turns reading. 2019 Chesterland Fourth of July Parade 2019

You can count on The West Geauga Kiwanis Club sponsoring the annual fourth of July parade every Independence day! St.Mark ROADtrip rewind

On the weekend of June 14, members of St. Mark took the road and traveled to the State of Kentucky to the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter. The group consisted of great grandparents with their great-grandchildren, young families, teens, and seniors. All had the opportunity to have their beliefs in creation upheld by exhibits on God’s creation as outlined in the bible book Genesis. Education Volunteer Appreciation Dinner

On Monday, May 6th, the Board of Education at St. Mark held a volunteer appreciation dinner to recognize those that have had an impact on the youth at St. Mark over the past school year. Deacon Chris Ryan, head of the St. Mark Board of Education thanked all those in attendance. The event featured a lively, white elephant, gift auction along with unofficial Martin Luther currency, thanks to Kim Ryan.

Youth Group Christmas party

On Dec. 16 the Youth Group celebrated Christmas at their final meeting of the year. Everyone shared a gift. Fun foods, were prepared by Howard and Erna Mable and Chris Ryan shared a message. Sunday School Kickoff

EXCITEMENT !!! On Sept 16, Sunday school kicked off at St. Mark Chesterland. Video, Music, Dancing, Donuts. God is on the move at St. Mark Alleluia.

Vacation Bible School 2018

St. Mark Lutheran Chesterland Ohio, invited the children in the surrounding communities to Splash Canyon, the theme for the 2018 Vacation Bible School. From the exciting white water rafting in the main church entrance way to the rocks and waterfall in the church sanctuary, the young people learned about Jesus through song, stories, crafts and videos. Thanks to all who participated.

Youth Group Mission Trip- Send Off

What a send off for the St. Mark Youth as they head to Altoona PA to do some servant evangelism! At the 9:45 service on June 10, 2018, all those heading to the missionfield  were commisioned and received a blessing in front of the congregation. They were treated to hot dogs, hamburgers and mac and cheese plus other goodies at a going away lunch in fellowship hall after the service. Katie the Owl Visits St. Mark Preschool

Tim Cunnigham, Wildlife Ed Specialist from the Lake County Metro Parks, Penitentiary Glen visited St. Mark Preschool on Wednesday April 25, 2018. Tim brought  special guest, Katie the owl, Katie had received medical attention for some muscle problems at Lake Metro Parks and now visits schools and other venues to aquatint people with her background and opportunities available  for nature education at the Lake Metro Park, Penitentiary Glen.
