GOOD NEWS AT ST. MARK

I HAVE GOOD NEWS FOR YOU: On Sunday, September 28th, Pastor Mark will begin a seven-week class entitled “Good News.” This course is designed to introduce participants to both the teaching and practice of the Lutheran Church— Missouri Synod (LCMS). Fun Times at St. Mark

On August 22, 2025, members of St. Mark and members of our local community gathered at St. Mark Picnic Pavilion for a barbecue prepared by our St. Mark chef’s, Eric and Matt Meister, as well as sides and desserts provided by those attending. Pastor Ken was called home to the Lord on May 5, 2025 Pastor Welsh is the son of Eileen and Elwood Moyer, born September 22, 1941. He was baptized at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Cleveland Heights and confirmed at Our Savior Lutheran in Mayfield Heights. LOOKING TO THE FUTURE

On Thursday, March 13, 2025, members of St. Mark gathered in Fellowship Hall on the St. Mark campus to start charting the future for the next five years at St.Mark. Rev. John Glover from the Lutheran Church Extention Fund (LCEF) traveled to St. Mark from Orlando, Florida, to lead a discussion centered around a congregational survey that was completed several weeks before this event. January Community Lunch

Wednesday January 29, The St. Mark Women’s League held their monthly free Community Lunch in the St. Mark Fellowship Hall. Potato Soup, ham and cheese sliders, and a wide assortment of delicious homemade desserts were served. The community lunch is served on the last Wednesday of each month and has become a favorite gathering place for members of Chesterland and surrounding communities. 22 men met together for breakfast on Dec 14, 2024 at the Coffee Post in downtown Chesterland, OH. West Geauga Unity day 2024

St. Mark participated in the West Geauga Chamber of Commerce “Unity Day” on Sunday, August 25, 2024. The community event featured games, pickleball, a dunk tank, food trucks, over 40 merchant and community non-profits, plus much more. The event was held in the West Geauga High School parking lot and was well attended by Chesterland residents and residents of surrounding communities.
