MOTHER’S DAY TEA AT ST.MARK
On Saturday, May 10, 2025, the ladies of St. Mark, along with children and grandchildren, celebrated Mother’s Day in St. Mark’s Fellowship Hall. The theme “Embracing New Beginnings,” especially welcomed by all new moms and children. Exquisite decorations, fun games, delicious food, along with fun and laughter, provided a memorable afternoon for all that attended Special thanks to Diana Monahan and Jamie Nicoletti for organizing this event!
PASTOR KEN WELSH
Pastor Ken was called home to the Lord on May 5, 2025 Pastor Welsh is the son of Eileen and Elwood Moyer, born September 22, 1941. He was baptized at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Cleveland Heights and confirmed at Our Savior Lutheran in Mayfield Heights. BOOKS, BLOOMS AND BAKE SALE
St. Mark Lutheran Church is hosting our first ever used book sale. For two days we will be selling the 5,000+ books and 250+ puzzles that have been donated to us. Proceeds will benefit our annual mission grants, our monthly community lunch, and special church projects. We will have lots of popular fiction, children’s books for all reading levels, cook books, self-help books, religious books and more. Hundreds of vintage books! Free admission.

The Ladies of Saint Mark Host a wonderful FREE community Lunch on the last Wednesday of every month. Annual Women’s Luncheon
On Saturday, March 22. 2025, the ladies of St. Mark gathered together at the Oak and Embers restaurant in Chestereland for their annual luncheon. The well-attended event featured St. Mark’s own Marti Jacobson, who gave a presentation on aging gracefully using Young Living Essential Oils. In addition to providing information about the oils, Marti and a colleague hosted a workshop that featured hands-on use of essential oils. LOOKING TO THE FUTURE
On Thursday, March 13, 2025, members of St. Mark gathered in Fellowship Hall on the St. Mark campus to start charting the future for the next five years at St.Mark. Rev. John Glover from the Lutheran Church Extention Fund (LCEF) traveled to St. Mark from Orlando, Florida, to lead a discussion centered around a congregational survey that was completed several weeks before this event. January Community Lunch
Wednesday January 29, The St. Mark Women’s League held their monthly free Community Lunch in the St. Mark Fellowship Hall. Potato Soup, ham and cheese sliders, and a wide assortment of delicious homemade desserts were served. The community lunch is served on the last Wednesday of each month and has become a favorite gathering place for members of Chesterland and surrounding communities.
