Reaching out to Geauga County’s Children

St. Mark  members have filled 125 Easter Baskets and delivered them to Geauga County Family Services to show the love of Christ to children in Geauga County. Each of these baskets was filled by individual members of St. Mark and brought to the church. Each basket was special!  Our mission statement at St. Mark is “To Go and Make Disciples of All Nations.”  Our vision statement  shows how we do this, by “Making Caring Connections in Our Community.” Special thanks to…

Wednesday Morning Lenten Service and Feb. Community Lunch

St. Mark has Wednesday Lenten Services. At 11:00 and 7:30 pm. February’s service was accompanied by our monthly free community lunch. A great opportunity for the Chesterland community to be fed spiritually as well as physically. Click Here to listen to Pastor Matzke’s sermon “Thy Kingdom Come”

St. Mark members mission in Haiti

  St. Mark members, Lee Stone and Jackie and Mark Rychel have traveled to Haiti to do mission work. They carried  6 luggage bags of 50 pounds each, filled with clothes, vitamins, tooth brushes and tooth paste  plus other humanitarian supplies . During their 12 day stay they will visit hospitals, hold vacation bible schools, participate in feeding  120 needy children twice per week. The team will also update pictures and information on the children in the school sponsorship program.…

January 31- One Service Sunday

On January 31 St.Mark will only have one service at 10:00 am. The regular services at 8:15 AM, 9:45 AM AND 11:00 am will resume the following Sunday Feb. 7. There will be no Bible classes . Sunday School 9:00 am to 9:45 am with no opening After the service will be a congregational pot luck birthday party in fellowship hall. A fun way to get to know everyone.
