2nd Annual Women’s Retreat

Dear Sisters in Christ,
The ladies of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Chesterland would like to cordially invite you to our second annual Women’s Retreat. It will be held at St. Mark Lutheran Church on Saturday, March 10th from 10:00AM to 3:00PM. Our day will be structured around the Amplified Bible version of Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things (which He has called me to do) through Him who strengthens and empowers me (to fulfill His purpose – I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace)”. We will explore the gifts God has given each of us and how we can use those gifts to His glory.

We are excited to have our Senior Pastor, Rev. Mark Matzke, return as the keynote speaker. Joining Pastor Matzke with presentations will be Sandy McLeod the Senior Centers Supervisor for the Geauga County Department on Aging; Susan Arnold, self-employed businesswoman from Newbury, Ohio and group leader for BSF International, an international Bible study organization; and Mary Bates, CEO of HARP Missions, an organization designed to help people become reestablished due to natural disasters, poverty, and domestic violence/child abuse.

Lunch will be provided with gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options available. Prearranged child-care and limited transportation will also be available. Thanks to the generosity of the St. Mark Women’s League there will be no cost for this event. However, a free will offering will be collected. Our ministry mission for this event will be a collection for Womensafe. We are asking each participant to bring either a new package of women’s underpants (sizes 5-3X) or nail clippers, or nail scissors.
