May Free Community Lunch at St. Mark

A beautiful sunny last day of May, 2017 was the setting for the monthly St. Mark Free Community Lunch. Chef Meister grilled hamburgers and hot dogs and the ladies of the St. Mark Women’s league served sides of delicious potato salad and watermelon. Home made desserts were also very popular with our guests. Prayer Force One, the St. Mark church bus made its usual run to the Geauga Senior Center to pick up  the fun bunch of seniors. Summer Schedule Begins June 4, 2017

Summer Worship Schedule Beginning June 4, 2017 There will be two worship services each Sunday. 8:15 a.m. will continue to be the traditional service; 9:45 a.m. will alternate between The Gathering and the contemporary service. The 9:45 a.m. service on June 4 will be the Gathering format.

A Weekend of Plants and Fairy Gardens at St. Mark

Friday night, May 19, 2017 , St. Mark hosted the annual plant sale preview party with a silent auction and a Chinese auction . Pastor Mark did great job as MC..  The venue featured great food & beautiful plants.  It was a rainy evening so the Classic Car Show was cancelled. Mother’s Day Luncheon

On Saturday, May 13,  The women of St. Mark celebrated the wonderful ladies in their lives. Our theme this year was ” The History of the Apron”. We had  a delicious menu and enjoyed  good fellowship, food, and fond memories.

May Men’s Breakfast

The monthly St. Mark Men’s breakfast met at Rise and Dine Cafe in Chesterland on May 6, 2017. Pastor George Zehnder, retired pastor at St. Mark gave an interesting presentation on “Sin versus Iniquity.” The men from St. Mark meet at Rise and Dine on the first Saturday of each month and listen to  short presentations by people from all walks of life. April Community Free Lunch

On a beautiful April spring day, the St. Mark Women’s league reached out to the Chesterland and surrounding communities to provide their monthly free lunch. Sloppy Joes, cole slaw, chips and various deserts were the fare of the day. The St. Mark Church bus “Prayer Force  One” picked up seniors at the West Geauga Senior Center in downtown Chesterland. Great fellowship , food was had by all. St. Mark sponsors a monthly free lunch the third Wednesday of each month.…

Tweets for the Garden

“Tweets for the Garden” ( St. Mark preview party for the annual plant sale) will be held Friday evening, May 19th,  from 7:00pm -9:30pm. Tickets for this  adult only event are $10.00 per person and include beer or wine, hors d’oeuvres and punch. Featured are donated items from our  members,  area nurseries and garden centers –all with a garden and/or bird theme. Handcrafted items  from area  artisans and gift baskets  will be offered to the highest bidder along with numerous  raffle…

April Men’s Breakfast

March Community Lunch

On the last Wednesday of every month the St. Mark Women’s League sponsors a free community lunch. This month’s lunch was well attended on a beautiful, sunny spring day. Pulled pork sandwiches, macaroni and cheese, salad an deserts were the lunch of the day. Easter Baskets for Foster Kids

Every Year St. Mark prepares Easter Baskets as gifts for kids in foster families through Geauga Jobs and Family Services. This Year we have prepared well over 100 baskets. Monica McGurer who co-ordinates this effort, brings empty baskets to church and church members take them home and fill them. Each basket is unique and hand filled by St. Mark members. Monica loads them in a vehicle and takes them to Geauga Jobs and Family Services for distribution. Monica wanted me…
